Overtime you can have a residual build-up of food deposits, where the pan has not been thoroughly cleaned after use. To perform a “deep clean” mix 2 tablespoons baking soda, ¾ cup of white vinegar and 1 cup of hot water in the pot or pan. Place on the stove and bring to a boil for about 10 to 15 minutes. Pour the mixture out and wash the pot or pan with a mild detergent such as washing up liquid.
